We met for our third (and final) meeting of the “Galactic Gas Distribution and Cosmic-Ray Transport (GaGaDiCT)” collaboration in Garching near Munich.
Three guests from the Institute of Biological and Medical Imaging at Helmholtz Munich – Dr. Dominik Jüstel, Philipp Haim and Lukas Platz presented how ‘Information Field Theory’-based methods can be successfully applied to opto-acoustic imaging.
I also enjoyed the detailed discussions about astrophysical modelling of the Milky Way and its constituents as well as current methodological limits and future possibilities. We laid out a plan for the remainder of the project and are excited to share more results soon!
